Abundant Hospice Care provides 24-hour service involving care by our highly skilled staff. When your loved one’s symptoms require immediate attention, we can admit them to our Inpatient Hospice Unit. There, they will receive holistic treatment (physical, emotional, and spiritual) in a comfortable, homelike setting.
Additionally, our excellent chefs and kitchen staff provide delicious and nutritious meals, beverages, and snacks within your loved one’s dietary requirements.
In our inpatient unit, the Abundant Family is ready and prepared to care for your family.
We don’t just treat an illness. We give our earnest attention to the whole person, addressing emotional and spiritual needs.
We have registered nurses and licensed home healthcare aides on staff who are trained in pain management and skilled care.
Together with the interdisciplinary team, you and your family can carve out your wishes for all aspects of hospice care.
If you wish to spend these last days at Abundant Hospice Center, we offer hospice home care with meals, 24hr care and housekeeping.
During this initial phase, the family receives regularly scheduled visits from home health aides, registered nurses, volunteers, chaplains/spiritual advisors, and therapists. The primary caregiver is often a relative who has received training from the hospice staff.
Respite can be provided to primary caregivers for up to 5 consecutive days. Your loved one is temporarily admitted to an inpatient facility to give you time to recharge.
In this situation, your loved one receives short-term, 24-hour nursing care wherever he or she calls home. At this point, the patient’s symptoms have escalated to the where the primary caregiver needs assistance from aides and nurses.
General inpatient care requires the patient to be admitted to a hospice inpatient care unit or another local facility where he or she receives 24-hour symptom management and monitoring.
Nearly half of Americans with a terminal illness opt for hospice care to make their final months or years more comfortable through pain management. That’s why it’s vital to understand how these two insurance options, Medicare and/or Medicaid, can work together during hospice care.
Medicaid also covers most of the same services that are covered by Medicare, depending on the state where you live.

I can't put into words How much I appreciate, miss Cindy. The staff at abundant hospice is great. They really did a lot for me. They helped me figure out everything as far as my mom's wishes & the DNR. They helped me understand how my life was gonna change for good without my mom. They sent me letters for a whole year with kind words. One of The chaplains who works for abundant hospice. I believe her name was miss Spring well. I asked her if she speak some words at my mom's services and she went out of her way and she went and was by my side and I can't tell you guys enough. How much I appreciated that so in my opinion, anyone who is looking for that love and care for their loved ones? Take abundant hospice into consideration because the staff is great and they really make you feel like a part of the family. They understand your grief. They understand your life is about to change and they won't turn their back on you.

Christine was willing to listen to all our woes, which I'm sure she'd heard many times before from other families. She listened. She cared. And, she helped make sure we did everything we could to make Dad comfortable in his final days. His nurse, Stephanie, showed great compassion and Dad was visibly at ease in her presence. Making the choice to pursue hospice is not an easy one, but Abundant worked with the whole family in our transition to life without Dad. I highly recommend Abundant!

Its been 2 months since my dad passed away, sooo, since I am having a hard time writing a review that would give justice to the care my pops and our family received, I decided to do something different, photos speak louder than words so please allow me to share these photos with Abundant and Abundant staffers... Because you took over, I was able to concentrate on my dad's wishes.. Who would have thought this man that was so full of life would pass away after a short 3 months on hospice!! I praise God I had you all because I allowed him to dream up his funeral.. His funeral wishes went something like this: "I want all my pallbearers to wear Dallas Cowboys jerseys..Bury me in the #12 Roger Staubach..I want all my pallbearers to wear the #12 too" "I want my dallas cowboys jerseys displayed at my funeral" "What color is my casket? I know it's blue but is it light blue or dark blue?" Sandra Dee Mahone2024-04-16On behalf of my sister I’m writing this review for the special care she so needed from Abundant Hospice, she kept trying to take care of her husband herself but it was so much attention of lifting and helping him to the restroom it was 24/7 . Since she and her daughters decided to keep him home and take care of him themselves. They all realized she needed help to care for her him even more than they could offer. The word Hospice scarred my sister and knowing strangers would be assisting someone so dear to her, when she decided to reach out to find the right company she was referred to Abundant Hospice of San Antonio Tx even though she lived in Seguin Tx this company did not fail her expectations of service they offered her. The sweet ladies, Crissi and Christine that came into their home to explain the services carried such a loving caring respect to my sister and her family, we were all there to hear about how this was going to help my sister. We cant express enough of the service she had experienced with them. The prompt service and kindness we watched as the ladies from the staffing of Abundance Hospice would come and attend to my brother in law. I witnessed myself the respect from the young lady, Vanessa that came in and bathed and changed him with her sweet and gentle kind person she was. My sister and her daughter expressed to me how much they appreciated these ladies! Being a caregiver over my husband and know numerous of others that have had such bad experiences with other companies that did not express this kind of loving care of our loved ones. I salute to the owners of Abundant Hospice for finding such loving caring people to work for their company. And I salute to these beautiful ladies that step out to do such service with such kind respect to our families.It matters to us when a stranger comes into our lives to help care of our loved ones to be kind and respectful.
